His Name Was Happiness

He said his name was happiness, a hopeless romantic who loved to read comic books, that he was best friends with loneliness, a sad, shy shitty faced girl he met thousands of years ago, while riding on a starship manned by a spacecat, spaceman, a robot, and an invisible computer called Sam, behind an exploding star madly racing through the emptiness of space like a runaway crazy train spitting fire and large flaming balls of molten steel from behind its super large rocket hole.

Loneliness winked at  happiness and he smiled back at her, as he watched with sheer amazing interest, the spacecat popping its lewd thought bubbles with its super sharp razorlike claws and as the spaceman began to punch in numbers into Sam the coordinates to the next exploding star and as the robot was dancing to the sounds of silence.

The Market

The market
Is full, jammed, packed now
Of strange balding people
Strolling nervously,
Looking for the best
Color schemes
To decorate their
Very tall trees growing
In their backyards,
Wishing for only delightful
Schemes only the best
Decorations to impress
Their lazy neighbors who
Enjoy hanging nervously too
At the end of their street corners
Smoking dope
Drinking whisky
Silently singing
Slurping
And burping tunes
About the end of the world
As they know it and being extra
Careful not to slip on the
Scatters of rotten banana peels
As they do.

My Photo

The World Is Where I Live by Art Hernandez / 1989

Carelessly we stride, tripping schemes,

Progressive reports vibrate the red colors

Of the rainbow.

Inside my get away plane I jet into the

Dark gloom blue, traces of grey stopping my

Trek. I say I can not breath the air for it is

Dirty, fallen with deadly chemicals.

This is the world I live in, by myself

I travel from endless sea to infinite

Sky, waiting for a bus, or paying the god

Given bill.

From day to day, the stray and the rich

Walk among each other, never saying hello, never

Waving goodbye, until it is too late.

From this lesson I learn to love the

Air, cause sometimes it loves me, when the

World is not pumping crap into the beautiful

Blue.

I kiss the cat, the lonely dog I pat.

God Told Me

God told me to kill his ass
yeah his ass
he don’t belong here
i’m gonna stick it too him
God told me he don’t like him
his smell or the way he spells
he don’t like the way he looks
he looks like a fool
searching for other fools
to come on in and join his gene pool.
well not! no more!
i am gonna kill him
cause God told me so.
it’s in the Bible
page 234.
Next to the Babylon whore.
tiny letters i know.
but it’s there. I swear.
kill those deviants.
kill the non-conformist
kill the communist too.
kill the children who agree with them.
no matter. they are all scum.
bugs on pond scum.
swimming along.
All those scum pond lovers.
yes God?
yes God?
ok.
right away.
